Student Union Board’s (SUB) mission is to provide entertainment which complement, reflect and respond to the University’s student community.
The purpose of the Student Union Board (SUB) is to provide programs designed to be an educational experience for those involved in planning and presenting the programs, as well as those who participate. In all its processes, it encourages self-directed activity, giving maximum opportunity for self-realization and development in individual, social and group effectiveness. These programs should remain consistent with the objectives, regulations and mission of the Student Life Office and Elon University.
Founded in 1984, The Student Union Board (SUB) offers a variety of events to Elon University students. SUB programs range from movies and comedians to major speakers and concerts. SUB hosts over 75 shows each semester, all of which are completely free to students. SUB’s main objectives are to provide the student body with a variety of entertaining programs, to maintain financial stability in order to provide a variety of programs to the community, and to promote, through its programs, interest in Elon University and to cooperate with all departments, organizations and the area community.
